as proud as i am of the way the country has united to work together for a brighter future, i hold onto some disappointment toward my home state. i cannot believe that prop 8 passed, and even worse by such a close margin. i think it was all of the ads about the children that did it. apparently it's not okay to teach your kids about same sex relationships but let's teach them it is okay to discriminate. i really liked this 'no on 8' ad featuring samuel l. jackson that i didn't see until last weekend. i think it would have helped to run it earlier and more often. then again, maybe the words of Ezekiel 25:17 would have gotten through to some of the "yes" voters? there is no time for great vengeance or furious anger, we've got work to do.
